Charlie Schick writes on Lifeblog about what makes a compelling mobile product offering. He's listed a number of different characteristics that successful mobile offerings often have in common.
He very politely suggests that he could be wrong with his ideas but I don't see any flaws! If anything, the only limitation of his list would be that all mobile applications can't have all these characteristics all the time. For instance, making applications easy to deploy as he suggests might be antithetic to his idea of applications having regionally customised features. But this is a minor point.
