Lenskart.com just announced funding from one of our coopetitors IDG Ventures. Maybe I'm not representative of the company's target market but I can't imagine buying spectacles and sunglasses online. Would you?
The name, of course, is directly, ah, inspired by one of India's largest e-commerce portals Flipkart.com.
How about buying shoes online at a website like bestylish[dot]com? Recently there has been a lot of advertising by this website on Indian television. The only glitch? - a start-up that aims to be Zappos.com of India only with a different business model, a dubious return policy and a box-load of consumer complaints :)

Well, you know, at least things like shoes and shirts have standard sizes.

Yeah agreed. But my point is that even with products like these, aren't there high chances of something somewhere not feeling right for the consumer? I have read about the successful ones like Zappos and their value proposition was more towards a good customer experience like quick delivery, 1 year money back policy and not towards just selling shoes online.
